Dangerous heat returns to ArkLaTex

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Happy Tuesday! A heat warning has been issued for the entire ArkLaTex as dangerously intense heat hits the region again. Highs are expected to reach nearly 100 degrees today and the wind chill is expected to be above 105. Sunny weather across the region with scattered clouds. There is a chance of a few showers, but I wouldn’t worry too much about them. Tonight we’ll see lows in the mid to upper 70s.

More sunshine continues into Wednesday with mostly dry conditions. Only a 10% chance of a rain shower is possible in the afternoon. High temperatures will remain around 100 degrees with wind chills reaching 110 degrees.

Sunshine dominates most of the long-range forecasts and there is no end in sight. There seems to be a slight chance of rain almost every afternoon through the coming weekend. High temperatures will remain around 100 degrees for the next 7 days, while it feels like it will be around 110 degrees every day.

WATCHES/WARNINGS:

THE HEAT ADVICE REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8:00 PM FOR THE ENTIRE ARKBLATEX.
