Paula Mendonça arrived in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, more than two decades ago from her native Portugal and never left. Today, the dynamic Mendonça is the executive director of the Ocean StartUp Project, a national group that aims to “inspire, launch and invest in ocean technology startups.”
